Lazy Blogger-

Wow... I'm such a lazy blogger. Haha... when I first made this blog, I thought I would update a new post at least once a week, but I definitely didn't... haha... what a shame...T_T

For the last serveral months, a lot of things happened in my life... not that critical but somewhat new for me. I was sick (still sick actually...no pain though), but I didn't have a health insurance (thanks for the fucking good american health insurance system and my school), so I couldn't get any medical treatment. So I went to Korea and got a treatment, and now feel much better. I still need some more treatment but not that serious, and no need to hurry, so I decided to go back to Korea at the end of July. (the exact date is 27th of July)

hmm... it's almost the end of my NYC life... I don't know if I can come back to this city... I might go somewhere else even if I will come back for Ph.d or whatelse. I love NYC not just because this city has a lot of things to enjoy (shopping, restaurants, events, etc...), but also because I have a lot good memories in this city. It's been only little less than 2yrs, but I feel like I've been living here for my whole life... kkk... anyway...it's time to go back to Korea, my country, and whether or not I like Korea, I have to stay there for the next 3yrs. (thanks for the world's best military system...) hmm... =(

hooah... I need to change my life style little by little... I've been so lazy these days... gotta get back my old style- HARDCOREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

yuhoo~

JoJo

This week and last week are NYC's restaurant weeks - you can get a great food with 'reasonable' price. I don't really like this kind of event since as far as I experienced, no restaurant actually serves 'expensive' food in cheap price. Most of restaurants prepare a special menu for restuarant week event, and this is usually not on their regular menu. Even if you go to really good restaurant since you want to take an advantage of restaurant week, you might not get a really good food. This event is actually not good for 'customers', but for 'sellers'... =(
Anyway I went to JoJo with Jaehyun to enjoy this event. (actually we were just looking for an excuse to go to a good place~) FYI, JoJo is one of Jean-George's restaurant in Manhattan, and it's french. Since I really like french foods, I expected a lot before I got there, but the truth was kind of disapppointed...
As usual, JoJo also had a restaurant week special menu, and we got that menu. That was 3-course prix menu and for each of appetizer, entree, and dessert, they had 2 different menus, so we ordered everything.

First impression - bread and butter - was actually great. The bread was warm and pretty tasty, and the butter was little bit oily and really smooth. Appetizer was cheese ravioli and crab cake(?), and both of them was ok. My entree was somewhat disappointing, cause I expected somewhat big dish, but it was really small. Mine was hanger steak, and there were only 4 pieces of meats. Jaehyun got salmon for entree, and that was much better than mine. Both of them had a great taste, though. Dessert was good enough to be considered one of the best dessert I've ever had. Mine was a chocolate brownie thing, and I think this one is like the signature dessert of Jean-George's restaurants. The brownie has really rich warm chocolate inside of the bread, and it is also served with hazelnut ice cream. Embakum you should love this one... should try this one sometime... =) Jaehyun's was kind of lemon tart which is served with marsh-mellow bowl with whipcream underneath the bowl, but since I don't really like sour taste, for me that one was not a good dessert.

As a whole, I can give 3.5 out of 5 for JoJo. If they served enough amount of entree, I would give some more.
